Rocky Road to Hollywood Styln’
From Phoenix, AZ we continued on our quest to explore unique nature so we aimed our tires toward Joshua Tree N.P. We got there as the sun was setting on the rocky outcrops. We slept in the car because it was cold and we wanted to get a quick start toward L.A.
- Elle and her first Joshua Tree photo
- Sunset glows on the rocks
- Night falls fast and cold so the back is a bed tonight.
- Entertainment is photographing our glow stick bracelets.
- I got the stars with my camera. YEA!
- Morning and the tree looks asleep.
- Joshua Trees greet us along the way.
- I feel like I slept here.
- Nature makes it’s own abstract art.
We pressed on to Hollywood to attend the NAPTE PitchCon Event. There were so many interesting people there with great TV show ideas. Producers took time to listen to pitches. It was intense and an amazing networking opportunity. The price was reasonable and I plan to attend their next event in Miami this winter. Being from Florida, I decided to wear a designer original dress from Key West to the cocktail after party. Hollywood definitely had an effect on me.
I’m not the only one with a strange sense of fashion. Elle and I window shopped on Santa Monica Boulevard just blocks from Hollywood. We couldn’t afford these outfits. They cost thousands just for the shoes. I didn’t even ask about the other pieces.
- We ate mediocre sushi. After camping in the desert, I decided to keep the wipe as a portable bath for future camping.
- Elle found an awesome blinged out sharks tooth. How ironic? We didn’t see anything like it at the Shart Tooth Fest in Venice, FL.
Even the wheels are amazing here.
- Classic
- Sporty
- Affordable
There was a lot of interest in my TV show idea about scuba diving for lionfish but nothing seems solid. So now the journey continues as we explore California while we wait for the next event. RealScreen West will be similar to the other pitching event but over 3 weeks away. So Elle and I will live out of our car, camping to save money until I can pitch again.
Next target is the aquarium in Long Beach, then the San Diego Zoo, then up to Yosemite, then…
